Funding for IT Projects
11 June 2010
IT benefits businesses of any shape or size to improve their efficiency and effectiveness. The takeITon campaign offers free business IT support and advice to businesses in the East of England.
New research suggests that businesses in the East of England are limiting their success due to poor IT. Just 34% of businesses in the region have a website and 44% of the region's employees feel that poor IT is stopping them from doing their job well. Such results reinforce the need for better awareness of how IT can boost the bottom line for businesses across the region.
The aim of the grant is to help companies improve their efficiency, environmental impact and effectiveness through improving their IT systems
- The aim is to fund projects rather than the purchase of standalone pieces of software or hardware
- Grant for up to 40% of project, max. £4000
- Available from April 2010 until December 2010 but funding may run out before this
- Businesses must be trading 12 months or more and have a minimum of 10 full time equivalent employees but less than 249
- The project cannot have already started
- Previous recipients of TakeITon funding are not eligible
